Admission process Apply for admission. Admissions must be submitted by the deadline, in a standard format and accompanied by all documents certifying compliance with the entry requirements.
Admission criteria:
Academic record.
Assessment of a brief research proposal within an area of knowledge in which the candidate has an interest within the fields of Management, Economics or Finance (between 1 and 2 pages in length). Results of the candidate''s interview with the Programme Director.
Proof, by means of supporting documentation, of a knowledge of English equivalent to level C1 (Common European Framework). If no accreditation is available, alternatively, the interview may be conducted in English in order to assess whether the candidate has a C1 (Common European Framework) level of English language proficiency.
Each candidate must provide the name, position and contact details of two persons who can provide references. Two letters of recommendation per candidate will be checked.
Formalising enrolment. Once admitted, students must formalise their enrolment. The process is initiated via the web, but it is necessary to hand in the registration form and additional documentation at the General Secretary''s Office.
Attention to students with disabilities or educational support needs (NEAE).
Candidates coming from degrees in the fields of Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Labour Relations and Human Resources, as well as candidates coming from degrees in the Social Sciences, will have access to the Master''s subject to the completion of 6 ECTS of complementary training in the subject Business Management, unless they can prove that they have acquired this training and associated competences in their degree of origin.
The Master''s Admissions Committee, which is ultimately responsible to the Master''s Director, may assess the admission of candidates from other degrees related to those mentioned above by evaluating the corresponding syllabus to determine the suitability of the candidates'' academic training to the training characteristics of the Master''s degree and the need to take the complementary training.
ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
In compliance with the corresponding academic regulations (adapted to RD 822/2021 of 28 September), those who meet the following criteria will have access to the master''s degree that is the object of this report:
Those in possession of an official Spanish university degree or other qualification issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area that entitles them to access master''s degree courses in the country issuing the qualification may be admitted to the official master''s degree courses.
Those who, in order to obtain an official Spanish university degree or other qualification issued by a higher education institution of the European Higher Education Area, still need to pass the Final Degree Project and a maximum of 9 ECTS credits to gain access to official master''s degree courses. In these cases, under no circumstances may students obtain the Master''s degree if they have not previously obtained the Bachelor''s degree, and they must prove that they are in possession of the Bachelor''s degree before the end of the first year of enrolment in the Master''s degree they are studying.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
The admission requirements for the Master''s Degree in Research Methods for Management, Economics and Finance are defined in accordance with the provisions of article 18 of Royal Decree 822/2021, of 28 September and with the Academic Regulations for University Master''s Degrees at Comillas Pontifical University (approved by the Governing Board at the session held on 22 July 2015 and modified at the session held on 17 December 2018). Thus, it recognises as requirements for admission the possession of an official university degree of Spanish Graduate or equivalent in accordance with current regulations.
In addition to complying with the legal aspects that give access to master''s degree studies, it is required to have applied for admission in the form and within the determined period and to take the selection tests established by the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies.
Admission to the Master''s Degree is the responsibility of the Dean of the Faculty responsible for the programme, who will be informed by the Master''s Management. The application for admission must be submitted within the period indicated for this purpose, on a standard form, and accompanied by all the documents accrediting that the admission requirements have been met.
In order to decide on the admission of a candidate to the Master''s Degree, the following merit assessment criteria will be taken into account:
The academic record.
The accreditation of a knowledge of the English language equivalent to level C1 (Common European Framework) as a necessary condition to study the programme, as English is the language of instruction.
The result of the candidate''s personal interview with the Director or the person to whom this function has been delegated. In this interview, among other questions, the motivations for the choice of studies will be analysed and the applicant''s academic record and research project will be reviewed and commented on.
A brief research proposal within an area of knowledge related to the fields of Management, Economics or Finance (maximum 2 pages).
Name, position and contact details of two persons who can provide references for the candidate.
The admission decision is made taking into account the recommendation resulting from the interview and the references that endorse the candidate (30%), the average mark of the transcript (50%) and the research proposal (20%). In addition to the academic aspects, any personal and professional aspects that are indicative of the applicant''s suitability to successfully complete the studies he/she is applying for are also taken into consideration.
COMPLEMENTARY TRAINING For students who, as indicated above, come from degrees that do not include training in the disciplinary areas of the Master''s degree, they will have to take the 6 ECTS supplementary training in Business Management.Leer menos
